Candlestick Park is one of the few NFL stadiums that is owned and operated by the city. Home to the San Francisco 49ers, this facility also hosts many concerts and other events. It can seat nearly 70,000 people and opened its doors in 1960 as 3ComPark.
Located in Golden Gate Park, Kezar stadium is the former home of the Oakland Raiders, San Francisco 49ers and San Francisco Dragons. Today it hosts amateur recreation sports leagues as well as a number of high school football events, including the city championship known as the "turkey cup".
